The role of Allison MacKenzie is dear to my heart. As a young girl, I had watched the night-time version with Mia Farrow playing the role, and had fallen in love with the character. Hence, it was a privilege to recreate the role when I took over in the daytime drama for NBC years later.
Our cast became like a family, and I truly miss working with them.
There is something so comfortable about being with the same actors each day, and working on a soap really gives you the opportunity to learn the technical aspects of your craft. When I started, the task of learning all those pages of dialogue every day was daunting, but soon it became easy. Being able to memorize quickly also helped me immensely in the audition process throughout the years.
